Wednesday, 03/21/2018 – Morning programExcursion to Mežica (SLO)
Your choice – Underground biking
Mountain bikes were made for exploring the mountains, but in UNESCO Global Geopark Karavanke/Karawanken you can ride your bike through the mountain. Led by a guide and equipped with helmets and flashlights you can safely ride from one valley to another on a more than 5 kilometers long underground path under Mount Peca/Petzen. Prepare to experience an unforgettable adventure.

In 1994, when the excavation of lead and zinc ore in Mežica mine was stopped, water was no longer drained from the mine so its lower parts were completely flooded. Guide will lead you along a small underground river until you will reach the magical underground lake. Explore the underground labyrinth and do some paddling almost 700 m below the surface! This will be the most unique experience for you ever! It will leave you breathless!
Wednesday, 03/21/2018 – Afternoon programCreative afternoon in Ravne na Koroškem at the Carinthian regional museum (SLO)
Together we will explore the secrets of Carinthian regional museum, very important cultural institution in Karavanke/Karawanken UNESCO Global Geopark. Their mission is centered on protecting, collecting, studying, presenting, popularizing and preserving iron industry, mining and other technical heritage, ethnological heritage and local vernacular culture, as well as collecting art and culture-historical materials from all periods.
Thursday, 03/22/2018 – Morning programGlobasnitz pilgrimage museum (AT)
A guided tour through the Pilgrimage Museum in Globasnitz, which houses artefacts from the archaeological excavations at the St. Hema Mountain (Hemmaberg) – a 1,500 years old pilgrimage site. In addition to the numerous finds that have come to light during the approximately 20-year excavations at Hemmaberg, the Pilgrimage Museum also houses a replica of the recently discovered Ostgothic Cemetery. To diversify the programme, several creative workshops, will be implemented. Workshops will be intended mainly to children, but also adults are kindly invited to take part.
Thursday, 03/22/2018 – Afternoon programThe Zell/Sele Alpine Center (AT) - indoor climbing
In the idyllic mountain village Zell/Sele, Alpine Center is located. It offers a good overview of the Koschuta Massif geology and has approximately 13 m high indoor climbing wall. Thursday afternoon activity is intended to all who always wanted to try climbing, as well as to all who loves climbing. Here everybody gets the chance to test his/her limits, so just give it a go and enjoy!
